The VSS Agro Furrow Press has been specially designed to replace the standard furrow packer, which has disadvantages during transport and has to be detached and reconnected ever time at the headlands. With the VSS Agro Furrow Press, this becomes history! The machine is designed for softer soil types and creates an optimal seedbed in a single pass.
BUILD OF THE MACHINE
The VSS Agro Furrow Press consists out of two or three hydraulic lifting arms, a drawbar, a tubular beam to which closed hollow discs (Ø560mm) or spoked wheels (Ø700mm) are attached. The version with spoked wheels has the advantage of getting through the soil better. In addition, the soil ‘sticks’ less to the open discs. The discs are ball-bearing and made of stainless steel. The number of discs can be varied as you prefer. You can attach the machine to the plough with supplied attachments that fit the plough bodies. These are different for each make/type of plough. All attachments and hydraulic hoses are supplied as a standard.
HOW THE FURROW PRESS WORKS
The swivel arms automatically guide the discs so that these will always follow the plough’s direction; even for ploughs with variable width adjustment. Additional downward pressure can be controlled by adjusting the touch with a bolt. With the hydraulic pressure control option on the roting arms, the pressure is hydraulically adjustable. Do you have a plough with stone release system? Upon request, it is possible to adapt the VSS Agro Furrow Press for this type of plough. You can choose between spring-loaded or hydraulic safety systems.
