During spring, good and fast seedbed preparation is very important. Partly due to changing climate conditions, periods are becoming shorter and shorter. Plus, soil structure also poses a challenge. Our tillage machines are at the basis of a successful crop. The VSS Agro Seedbed Cultivator creates a well-crumbled seedbed, a perfect levelling and good pressing of the top layer. Ideal for fine-seeded crops such as sugar beet and onions, but also as preparation for planting potatoes or sowing maize.
HOW THE SEEDBED CULTIVATOR WORKS
The seedbed cultivator consists of a sturdy welded frame to which the various components that perform the tillage operations are attached. At the front of the machine are spring-loaded drag chisels. These chisels pull open the furrow and level the soil before it enters the crumbling roller. The T-profile roller is used as an aggressive crumbling roller for heavy soil or, with a simple adjustment, as a supporting roller for sandy soil. The next operation consists of the first levelling plate, which levels the seedbed. The five rows of straight vibrating tines ensure the correct working depth of the machine. The second levelling plate levels the tracks of the vibrating tines. Followed by the crumbling roller which, due to its speed, additionally crumbles the soil, after which the rear roller presses the seedbed.
MODULAR DESIGN
The VSS Agro Seedbed Cultivator has a modular design and thus a variety of options are available, always with ease of adjustment taking precedence. For example, you can choose the drag chisels or goose feet at the front. At the rear, it is also possible to work with crosskill rings. The tine field can be equipped with five rows of vibrating tines or goose feet. The machine is available in versions from 3 to 7 metres, with hydraulic folding from 4m upwards. From the same width, a semi-mounted version is also possible. Naturally, the semi-mounted machines comply with the requirements of the Road Traffic Act.
