Drago Gold is Olimac's new sunflower-sorghum-hemp head with super performing mechanics that deliver more power and robustness for faster harvesting and without losses. Drago Gold is equipped with a hyper-dimensioned auger, the largest in the sector, which allows a higher forward speed avoiding obstructions and loss of seeds.
It is also the only sunflower head equipped with two clutches on each row: these protections prevent overloads on the transmission and safeguard each row element.
In order to guarantee faster work, harvest without losses and, at the same time, effective chopping of the stalks, Olimac has designed an exclusive hydraulic Stalk Chopper for Drago Gold.
The mechanical stalk chopper limit the maximum distance between harvesting height and chopping height, due to the occurrence of vibrations to the cardan. So if cut is performed just below the flower (optimal cutting position) the stalk chopper will work too high. Drago Gold, on the other hand, is equipped with a hydraulic Stalk Chopper which allows the stock to be cut close to the ground (optimal) and at the same time allows the sunflower to be harvested at a height of up to 1.5 m, so that only the flower without stalk is harvested: the combine-harvester works faster, the harvest is without losses, the chopping operation is optimal.
The only sunflower head able to harvest down product at ground level: all other headers on the market have the stalk chopper positioned under the machine. Therefore, the product below 30-35 cm cannot be harvested because it passes under the cutting system. Consequence: heavy loss of product. Drago Gold, on the other hand, has the stalk chopper positioned behind the machine, so the cutting system easily picks up even down product at ground level. Advantage: total harvest without losses.
