About
The presentation introduces an innovative concept designed to help farmers more efficiently tackle the challenges of modern agricultural management. This is a pilot project by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, implemented by ITK Engineering GmbH. The Feldatlas (FA) is a user-friendly app for farmers that provides easy access to important official agricultural data and processes it specifically for their farms. Legitimacy through state authorities ensures the accuracy, reliability, and legal validity of the data. The FA offers functions for automated calculation, storage, visualization, and export of data, enabling farmers to make more informed decisions, utilize resources more efficiently, and better implement sustainable agricultural practices. The presentation highlights the technical aspects, the open data strategy, and the user-friendliness of the FA. Using the FA prototype as an example, it demonstrates how the FA is applied in practice and what extensions are planned for the future. The FA complements existing field registers without replacing them, while ensuring data sovereignty and data security for farmers. The goal is to demonstrate the benefits for farmers, consultants, and agricultural contractors, and to emphasize the importance of open standards for interoperability and long-term usability.
