Cameleon Next Generation
The machine that adapts to your crop production requirements!
The Cameleon NG has been developed to offer more and more flexible options for efficient arable farming – organic or conventional. The Cameleon is not just a seed drill. Thanks to the ‘carrier’, the machine also works between the rows after sowing, hoeing, fertilising, harrowing and sowing. This means that the system replaces several types of machines and also enables completely new combinations of field work, such as parallel harrowing, hoeing and establishing undersown crops. The Cameleon system enables much more precise hoeing closer to the crop row. Overall, the Cameleon system leads to lower machine costs, maximum precision and higher yields than conventional technology offers.
Machine control
The machine's modern ISOBUS system allows easy operation of the Cameleon using the tractor terminal or a separate, modern Topcon display. You can choose between different
types and sizes – Opus 6 is the standard. The functions are visualised and easy to find. The ISOBUS menu can also control the machine's sowing unit.
Hydraulic metering roller drive
In the Cameleon NG series, the metering shafts are driven hydraulically. This makes it possible to vary the application rate and to switch off one side. The application rates can be controlled via digital maps or other geo-data. Oil motors drive the metering shafts. The metering rollers can be adapted to different seeds. The lowest sowing rate is approx. 1 kg/ha.
UNIT C - 200
The new Unit C has a significantly larger volume of 200 litres. You choose this option if you want to apply two different seeds or a very low sowing rate. It is also possible to apply fine
granules or ‘improving agents’.
Hydraulic carriers
The new carriers are designed so that, with the aid of a
hydraulic cylinder, the pressure on the sowing and hoeing coulters
can be varied and the carriers can be lifted. The
carrier wheels, like the scrapers, have a new
design.
Sectional control
The carriers are connected in sections via a control block with
5 or 6 units, depending on the working width. This
system makes it possible to control the carriers in groups
using the ISOBUS system, enabling precise
operation.
