STW has been developing a new product family: the High Performance Platform for mobile machines - HPX for short. The HPX marks the start of a new generation of power­ful vehicle control electronics for mobile machines, enabling highly automated or autonomous applications. The platform combines the robust STW ESX product family’s advantages with more computing power and a new device architecture in a single device.

The HPX.ai-vision is a platform for envi­ronment detection and process automa­tion in mobile machines. As automation and complexity grow, advanced solutions are needed to support operators and enhance safety, especially in challenging environments with limited visibility.

Using a multiprocessor system, HPX.ai-vision processes environmental data with integrated AI algorithms, han­dling inputs from cameras, lidar, and radar sensors. Cameras provide a 360° or top-down view, lidar and ToF cameras detect hidden objects, and stereo cameras offer precise distance measurements.

With a dedicated Linux processor, users can easily share data with controllers, displays, or connectivity modules for com­munication with cloud solutions or other machines—without requiring in-depth AI knowledge. HPX.ai-vision also supports user-driven AI implementations, with STW providing development environments and support.
