Our TCG modules take the digitalization of your mobile working processes to the next level – on and at the machine, as well as around and beyond the machine. On the machine, the wired Ethernet and CAN interfaces facilitate the exchange of data with controllers, displays, and sensors. A direct user interface is realized through USB, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi. M2M, or generally M2X, networks establish communications with other machines or the infrstructure. Access to the internet, and therefore even to dedicated servers or cloud solutions (IoT), is also provided via Wi-Fi or a cellular network (4G).
Fulfilling these prerequisites for communication, the TCG modules can unfold their full strength, which is based on a powerful processor system running embedded Linux. Ready-to-use tools provided by STW and running on this Linux system provide users with everything they need for standard configurations.
For experienced users with deeper IT integration needs, a freely available development environment, a large user community, and access to the comprehensive STW software packages and examples are the right way forward. With our Telematics Application Framework (TAF) right up to cloud connectors, we offer a range of additional libraries and tools that allow data logging, edge computing, cloud connectivity, remote access, and over-the-air (OTA) updates, fulfilling nearly all requirements.
