Future-Ready Farming: Real-Time Monitoring and EVSE-Compatible Charging for Electric Machinery

As agriculture shifts toward electrification, operators and OEMs are facing new challenges around charging access, energy management, and fleet visibility. This is more prevalent on large or remote farm sites where uptime and efficiency are critical. This session will explore how on-board chargers with Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) interfaces make it easier to connect electric agricultural machinery to standard charging infrastructure across multiple locations. These chargers eliminate compatibility issues and simplify deployment, allowing farms to use existing or shared EVSE stations without needing specialized equipment. When paired with telematics and remote monitoring, these systems provide real-time data on vehicle location, battery status, and energy use—helping operators plan better, reduce downtime, and manage their fleets more efficiently. Integrating this charging data with fleet management tools adds another layer of value by offering insights into performance trends, maintenance needs, and energy optimization. Furthermore, many farms already generate renewable energy through on-site solar installations, which can be used to power electric machinery, which reduces grid reliance and lowers operational costs. This presentation is designed for OEMs developing next-generation electric agricultural machinery and farm operators looking to modernize their operations, improve performance and build fully electric, future-ready farming sites.
