SAM-DIMENSION enables offline patch-spray and spot-spray applications in practical field use.

The in-house SAM-CAM AI, mounted on a drone, maps fields with a ground resolution of less than 2 mm and an area performance of over 60 ha per hour.

The image data collected during mapping is preprocessed in-flight using edge AI. From this, Spot-Spray Maps are generated that can be used directly on standard ISOBUS sprayers with section control, without requiring any additional hardware.

Herbicides are applied only where weeds are actually present. This reduces chemical use by up to 90 percent, protects crops and the environment, lowers costs, and simplifies application planning since spray volumes are known in advance.

The SAM-DIMENSION Spot-Spray Maps (application maps) are compatible with any sprayer, making them ideal for contractors and machinery rings, and particularly effective against patch-forming weeds such as thistles.

Patch- and spot-spraying serve as an additional tool in crop protection and do not replace every full-field treatment. Applications can also be carried out at night, helping to protect pollinators.
