About
Arable land is characterized by small-scale yield variability, which is primarily caused by differences in soil properties such as texture, carbon and nitrogen content, and nutrient availability. This variability affects not only yields but also environmentally relevant nitrogen emissions, such as nitrate leaching into groundwater. As part of several research projects, including, digiMan innovative algorithms based on satellite data have been developed. These enable precise estimation of yields and nitrogen uptake, as well as the identification of management zones. By integrating agronomically relevant data and applying advanced AI methods, significant progress has been made in improving both the accuracy and practical applicability of the models.
