The test bench is gathering the complete escaping air flow of the sprayer on a horizontal range of measurement of 2000 mm and a vertical range of measurement of 5000 mm
With the 2 linear drives and the 5 ultrasonic wind sensors it is possible to gather the complete measuring field in about 20 minutes
(grid size 100mm x 100mm)
The corresponding measurement software makes it possible to screen not only the wind speed according to different criteria (only view the horizontal speed vx, view of the absolute
speed vabs or the view of the x- and z-components vxz), but also different analysis of measurements (deviation of the air volume, comparing of quadrants, definition of maximum treatable height etc.).
The construction of the test bench makes it easy for transporting and to use this instrument in different places. By the WLAN-connection it can be easily integrated in PC Networks. Also it can be used in connection with different measuring devices of Herbst.
This test equipment makes it possible for the first time to show the transporting air flow of PPP three dimensional at atomizers within a short time.
Design engineers of fan-sprayers get a possibility to construct the fan in the way that there is the least possible need of power for the necessary air flow for the application.
By constructive modification of air passage and aerodynamic devices
the air flow can be equal over the complete height of the treated plants
