The LOCANOS Base Station family is a self-contained RTK GNSS correction platform that makes centimeter-grade positioning simple to deploy on farms, work sites and mobile fleets. All variants share a triple-band receiver (L1/L2/L5), simultaneous multi-constellation tracking (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou), a built-in NTRIP server, and standards-based outputs (RTCM, RINEX, NMEA). That set of features ensures broad rover compatibility and easy integration with existing networks and tools.
RTK corrections stream at up to 8 Hz with ~1 cm horizontal and vertical accuracy. Acquisition is quick (cold start <30 s; warm/hot start ~2 s) and RTK convergence is <10 s. A built-in logger records RINEX for post-processing.
Wired interfaces include Ethernet and USB-C. Wireless options cover Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, plus an optional cellular modem (4G/LTE-M/NB-IoT) for IP delivery of RTCM via the integrated NTRIP server. For infrastructure-free distribution, an optional UHF radio modem provides robust one-to-many broadcast. The UHF option adds AES-128 encryption, 403–473 MHz coverage with 6.25 kHz channels, multiple FSK/GMSK modulations, and up to 1 W output, with compatibility to common industry formats.
All models provide a web UI for setup/monitoring and clear status via dual RGB LEDs. Supported RTCM3 messages cover the essentials (e.g., 1005, 1074/77, 1084/87, 1124/27, 1230) for interoperability with modern multi-band rovers.
Use Ethernet where fixed backhaul exists; switch to cellular NTRIP when you need coverage without on-site infrastructure; or choose UHF for resilient local distribution across fleets. Typical applications include precision agriculture, construction, drones/UAVs, guided vehicles and machine fleets. L1/L2/L5 + four constellations suit urban and rural use.
Standards support and the integrated NTRIP server make LOCANOS plug-and-play with correction ecosystems and community networks such as Onocoy, Centipede and RTK2go. Kindhelm is also Onocoy’s official distribution partner in Finland, underscoring an open, hardware-agnostic approach.
For a correction source that is affordable, simple to manage and flexible for fixed and mobile operations, LOCANOS pairs reliability with low power and compact size. It complements Kindhelm’s IPESSA rovers for resilient navigation and sensor-fused autonomy.
