We developed EVO, the new self -unloading grain hopper of 43 t, to be in line with the changes observed in the logistics system. Some of these changes are, for example, the incorporation of tractor -trailer trucks of bigger capacity and high -performance harvesters. Thus, a low -capacity hopper becomes the weakest link in the logistics chain. It requires a tractor with a minimum power of 180 hp (220 hp recommended), preferably equipped with a hydraulic system featuring 3 pairs of hydraulic remote outlets and a minimum pressure of 175 bar. The vat volume is of 51.5 m 3 . Our priorities:
• Maximize load capacity: A higher load capacity results in a lower number of movements. That is to say, same tons, less trips. This is the main distinctive feature of EVO, which aims at keeping the harvester continuously working as much time as possible in the field.
• Minimize unloading time: The new discharge tube with a capacity of 12 t/min features a 580 mm internal diameter and a forward inclination. The objective is to improve the vision field and to facilitate unloading control from the tractor.
DESIGN PRINCIPLES
• Reduced Compaction in the Field For EVO, we developed a support system with 8 tires featuring an 800 mm tread width (tires of 24.5x32 or larger) and the necessary degrees of freedom to achieve a homogeneous distribution of load of 6.9 t/wheel.
• Avoidance of Passage Repetition We set the front track width 150 mm wider than the rear track width. • Equipment Weight Without compromising robustness, we kept the weight excluding tires at 235 kg/ton of weight carried, offering the same values as our Magnum line
• Copy of Uneven Terrains EVO includes 5 walking beams — 2 rear, 2 front, and 1 transverse. • Good Maneuverability Front wheels are steered through a system of interconnected straps and a hitch, which allows for the minimum turning radius possible. The internal turning radius is of 11.5 m, which equals to a circle of 30 m of external diameter
• Load Control EVO has 8 load cells — 4 of them located in the rear axle and 4 in the front axle. The cells are distributed to minimize weighing mistakes, ensuring an accurate weight measurement under any working conditions.
• Efficient Transportation Compared to our competitors, the center of gravity is located in a low position in order to keep constant speed (12 km/h, approx.) and avoid having lateral and longitudinal movements (known as pitch), just like our Magnum line.
• Horizontal Discharge Auger The horizontal discharge auger offers balance during unloading grains, while the tube provides a constant output flow.
