The fully automated AURA 2 SC trap represents a significant leap forward compared to existing monitoring systems. Unlike conventional traps that rely on pheromones, AURA 2 SC uses a wide-spectrum UV light to attract multiple insect species at the same time. No pheromones are required. It is powered by solar energy and is therefore energy-independent. Self-cleaning is now fully automated and triggered by AI: when the sticky surface is 70 % full, self-cleaning is triggered automatically, eliminating the need for manual triggering, although still possible if desired. Real-time field data is seamlessly delivered to the Trapview app, where pest analyses, weather data, weather forecasts, pest development stages and simulations of crop protection usage enable the right pest-related decisions to be made at the right time. AURA 2 SC lowers monitoring labour costs, reduces the use of insecticides and enables sustainable food production with higher yields.
