We have completely redeveloped our successful silage roller model, the SW – resulting in the new SiloRex. It allows all accessory options to be freely combined, including a hydraulic tow device, dual-sided hydraulic shift, and edge compactors mounted on both sides. At the same time, the large side shift of 640 mm on both sides (SiloRex 30H) is fully retained.
Optionally available is the SMARTPULL system, which has been submitted for patenting and the DLG Innovation Award. This innovative high-lift device, featuring two spring packs to dampen peak loads, enhances operational safety and enables smooth, jerk-free towing of the transport team.
Additionally, SAPHIR now offers a tow hook set that serves as a complementary counterpart to the high-lift device for the transport team and can be mounted on a designated holder on the silage roller when not in use.
The water-fillable silage roller—both in the frame and the roller body—also sets new standards. Even in its basic version, it achieves a higher total weight and can be ballasted with up to 455 kg of additional weight. With an exceptionally high contact pressure of 17.19 kg/cm² compared to just 0.97 kg/cm² for a tractor tire, combined with its high possible total weight, the SAPHIR silage roller delivers one of the strongest compaction performances available.
Previous models have been successfully used by numerous farmers and contractors across Europe and have been part of the SAPHIR product line for over 10 years.
