Multifarmers combine the functions of telescopic handlers and tractors. These powerfully designed machines have their key feature openly displayed at the rear: a three-point power lift and a mechanical rear PTO with 540 rpm – 1,000 rpm.
They come standard with a top speed of 40 km/h as a tractor/farm tractor. The cab suspension (CS) familiar from tractors – which, incidentally, only Merlo installs in telescopic handlers – is easy on the driver's back.
The telescopic tractor has been well known since 2001 – the year it won an innovation award at the Agritechnica trade fair. The DLG awarded it the silver medal for innovation when it was launched on the market.
In 2013, the German Agricultural Publishing House named the Multifarmer a “milestone in agricultural technology.” Merlo has continued to develop the system.
