AGRI-SONIC: Ultrasonic Sensor for Precise Working Depth Measurement in Agriculture
AGRI-SONIC is a new ultrasonic sensor designed for non-contact and wear-free measurement of working depth or ground clearance during soil cultivation. Developed for demanding field conditions, this compact sensor provides accurate real-time data on the actual tool engagement depth of cultivators, harrows, and other tillage implements – regardless of vegetation, moisture, or soil type. The measurement is contactless, continuous, and highly reliable, forming the basis for uniform working results and improved process quality.
At the core of the rugged AGRI-SONIC lies a custom-developed algorithm that distinguishes and filters out interference such as vegetation, stubble, and other irregularities from the ground signal. This ensures accurate detection of the tool’s absolute working depth – even under changing field conditions (wet, dry, compacted, etc.).
