The CAN bus sensor has been specifically developed for harvesting machines, such as combine harvesters, forage harvesters, feed mixers or balers to measure moisture and meets all the requirements on sensor technology in agriculture. The robust, all-terrain P80-CAN sensor determines the moisture content, and thus also the quality of agricultural products, such as grain, corn, straw or silage. Based on the data from the sensor, machine parameters are already adjusted during harvesting, so that energy and fuel consumption in the machine are significantly reduced.
Moreover, the sensor meets critical EMC and environmental requirements. The signals are integrated and processed straight into the customer's control system. The CAN bus signals communicate directly with the ECU. The measurements made by the sensors is based on the physical principle of capacitance determination in the high-frequency stray field. The sensor systems are characterised not only by its high precision and robustness, but also by its reproducibility. Each CAN sensor is individually calibrated and tested.
