W188 Multifunctional front lamp are fully LED lamps, with 6 types of lights: front position, low-beam, high-beam, day-time running light, front indicator in versions static (W188) and dynamic (W188DD) as well as, side indicator. All lamps from series W188 are suitable for 12V and 24V installations.
Lamps were designed for right-hand traffic only. W188 lamps obtained E-20 homologation, and therefore meet all approval requirements. Tested in an independent laboratory and rated with IP6K9K, which means they are completely resistant to dust ingress and water jets. In addition, the lamps are operational in temperatures between -40°C and +50°C. The shape of the lamp body and high quality aluminium used in production increases the discharge of heat and therefore extends the service life of the diodes. Using aluminium instead of traditional steel also significantly reduces the weight of the entire lamp. In addition, the entire body is protected against corrosion by a double layer, allowing it to be used for years without any problems. The lamp also uses a high-quality, renowned connector, which also protects against water ingress. A fully sealed lamp closure could have adverse effects on large temperature fluctuations and varying atmospheric conditions. It is therefore essential that air circulation is maintained for the proper functioning of all components. To do this, the W188 Series has a special membrane that, in addition to the proper air circulation, protects against moisture and water. The W188 Series is available in both vertical and horizontal variants, and thanks to a special system of external brackets they can be mounted vertically and horizontally. The method of mounting W188 is fork-type bracket with a spindle available in 2 sizes, referred to as A larger and B smaller in the lamp product code. The lamp can be adjusted, depending on the users needs. Individual parts composing the W188 lamp are manufactured from high quality materials and they are made from durable polycarbonate, which increases resistance to breakage and mechanical damage. In addition, the lens itself is coated with a specially enhanced coating to protect it from scratches.
