Optimizing Battery and Charger Integration for Agricultural Electrification: A System-Level Approach

As agricultural machinery transitions toward electrification, OEMs face increasing pressure to deliver equipment that meets performance, reliability, and sustainability expectations. This presentation outlines best practices for integrating batteries and chargers as a unified system, emphasizing the importance of communication protocols, modular platform design, and hardware-software interoperability. Drawing on lessons learned from off-highway and construction sectors, we explore how system-level thinking enables predictive diagnostics, fleet visibility, and reduced total cost of ownership. The session will highlight strategies for navigating fragmented ecosystems, standardizing across diverse applications, and supporting the full value chain—from OEMs to end users. Case examples and technical insights will demonstrate how proactive service models and data-driven design can accelerate electrification in agricultural equipment.
