The European Arable Farmers Club within the DLG is a vibrant platform for entrepreneurial arable farmers from across Europe. Through networking and annual study tours abroad, members exchange ideas and explore diverse agricultural realities shaped by climate change, political regulation, and technological innovation. In this panel discussion, active members share key moments from their international experiences, reflect on their ambitions for cross-border collaboration, and offer insights into the Club’s upcoming initiatives. A session for those who believe in a European approach to farming.

Agricultural businesses are under enormous pressure today: they must operate profitably in a global market while complying with stricter environmental regulations, for example regarding the use of pesticides and fertilizers. Differences between Europe and North America, for example in rapeseed cultivation, clearly illustrate the tensions involved. Added to this are challenges such as financing innovative, environmentally friendly technology, the shortage of skilled workers, and new requirements for greenhouse gas accounting along the value chain.
· But how can we adapt to these complex conditions?
· What business concepts help to deal with uncertainties?
· And what innovative business models are emerging internationally?
In this panel discussion, high-ranking agricultural experts and entrepreneurs from Canada, France, and the Czech Republic will discuss concrete strategies, technologies, and management approaches for a sustainable agricultural economy.
