Be a part of the one of a kind rapid prototypeing competition at AGRITECHNICA for start-ups and software developers. At this event you can experience, the selected teams of start-ups and software developers presenting their solutions to the PTx Challenge live for the first time.
The challenge submitted by PTx: Customized 3D-based path planning for agricultural machinery
Background
Modern agricultural machinery operates on increasingly complex terrain, yet most path-planning systems are still based on 2D maps. By integrating a third dimension, entirely new optimization opportunities arise. For example, fuel consumption, working time, machine stability, erosion, etc. can be optimized during path planning.
Challenge
Design an algorithm that determines the optimal path planning of the entire field through a terrain (considering e.g. fuel consumption). The following setup and information should be considered:
The solution should include a visualization of the computed paths and key metrics (e.g., fuel consumption, working time, total distance) and demonstrate in a live setup that it also works with new field data or different machine configurations.
The Award:
The top solution can expect a follow-up contract.
Experience the pitches live on the AGCO main Stage in Hall 20 Stand Number B26. Join the PTx and AGCO team as they present the final 3 shortlisted start-ups from the PTx Challenge.

Background:
Biodiversity is a key factor for resilient and sustainable agricultural systems. However, monitoring and quantifying biodiversity on farmland is still complex and often relies on manual observation. New technologies can make this process more efficient, transparent, and scalable — from sensor-based field data to AI-supported species recognition and satellite analysis.
Task:
Develop innovative digital solutions that help monitor, protect, or enhance biodiversity in agricultural environments.
How can technology make biodiversity measurable and create actionable insights for farmers, researchers, and policymakers?
