Aurea Imaging
Bert, son of a vegetable grower, is the founder and Chief Product Officer at Aurea Imaging. He began working in precision farming in 2009, using some of the earliest satellite monitoring systems. Since then, he's worked with moisture sensors, soil scans, and drones. Over the past decade, Bert has focused on precision fruit farming — developing machine vision tools that help apple and pear growers boost profitability and grow more sustainably.

No doubt that AI is changing agriculture. It is instrumental in making the most out of field data and crop models, and it is enabling advanced robotic applications. It is helping farmers to tackle societal challenges around sustainability (weeding robots replacing chemicals) and labour shortages (autonomous systems for harvesting, monitoring, sorting, etc.).
During this session several innovative startups and scaleups will present their systems and reflect on the developments and adoption in daily farm operations.
