BETEK among the TOP 100 innovators in 2025
Aichhalden – BETEK has once again been recognized as one of Germany's most innovative medium-sized companies and now holds the prestigious TOP 100 seal for the eighth time.
A total of 262 companies were successful in this year's innovation competition. The award ceremony took place on June 27, 2025, at the Rheingoldhalle in Mainz, where science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar personally congratulated the winners.
Scientifically tested
Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke (Vienna University of Economics and Business), a team of experts evaluated the innovative strength of the applicants based on over 100 criteria, including innovation management, open innovation, and market success. “Innovation means acting instead of reacting – actively shaping the future,” emphasizes Franke.
BETEK: Innovation based on tradition
The company is one of the world's leading manufacturers of tungsten carbide products and has made a name for itself primarily in construction and infrastructure projects. At the same time, BETEK is a development partner and original equipment manufacturer for renowned machine manufacturers, e.g., in the fields of road construction, foundation drilling, surface mining, and agricultural technology. BETEK supplies special tools, tool systems, and wear protection solutions made from premium tungsten carbide grades developed and produced in-house.
With the TOP 100 Award 2025, BETEK confirms its consistent innovation agenda: from agile processes and technological progress to globally oriented manufacturing. The company's renewed success at the SME Summit underscores its commitment to further developing carbide as a material and opening up new fields of application—supported by expertise, tradition, and cutting-edge research.
TOP 100 competition
Since 1993, compamedia has been awarding the TOP 100 seal to particularly innovative companies. Project partners include the Fraunhofer Society and the SME association BVMW, while media partners include manager magazin and ZEIT für Unternehmer.
