There’s a trade-off that needs to be understood between product performance, price, and environmental impact, and that’s something we’ve studied closely over our fifteen years of innovation. At TimberCroc, we believe sustainability doesn’t come from compromise but from building things properly the first time.
Founded in rural Ireland, our philosophy has always been straightforward: design tools that work hard, last long, and don’t end up in landfill. Every product we make, from our original heavy-duty log holder to our latest trailer range, is built to withstand real use, season after season.
Sustainability starts with how something is built. TimberCroc’s log holders are made from high-grade steel and powder-coated for protection against rust and wear, giving them a lifespan measured in decades rather than years.
By focusing on long-life, repairable construction, we reduce waste and avoid the endless cycle of cheap replacements. It’s a practical kind of sustainability that doesn’t shout, but lasts.
Timber itself is one of the most sustainable materials on earth, renewable, and enduring. We wanted our products to reflect those same qualities.
By holding logs securely off the ground and at waist height, TimberCroc makes cutting safer, and more efficient. Less effort means less fuel burned, fewer injuries, and of course, less downtime. Sometimes, the smartest way to be sustainable is to simply make the job easier.
We design for people who rely on their tools day to day, and year after year, farmers, foresters, and firewood suppliers who can’t afford for things to break. Each TimberCroc is tested in the field, not just on paper, and built to take real-world environments and factors into account.
“If something breaks, it’s not just inconvenient, it’s wasteful,” says Des Geraghty, founder of TimberCroc. “That’s why we design for endurance, not obsolescence.”
For us, sustainability isn’t a buzzword. It’s the quiet outcome of good engineering and honest work.
By focusing on durability, efficiency, and simplicity, TimberCroc shows that true sustainability doesn’t need to be complicated, it just needs to last.
