With the new WV3600M, SIKO introduces a compact magnetic absolute rotary encoder with a solid shaft, specifically designed for use in mobile machinery. Whether in industrial trucks, construction or agricultural equipment – the WV3600M delivers precise and reliable position data even under extreme environmental conditions.
Compact Design for Tight Installation Spaces
With an outer diameter of just 36 mm, the WV3600M is ideal for applications with limited installation space. Despite its compact size, the encoder offers a wide range of variants and flexible configuration options.
Robustness Meets Intelligent Sensor Technology
The WV3600M is based on SIKO’s proven PURE.MOBILE platform, developed specifically for mobile machines. Its salt spray-resistant stainless steel housing, protection classes up to IP6K9K, and high shock and vibration resistance make the sensor exceptionally durable in harsh environments. E1 approval according to UN ECE R10 is already in preparation.
Technology for Precise Measurements
The WV3600M operates using non-contact magnetic scanning and offers a resolution of up to 14 bits (16,384 steps per revolution). It is available in singleturn or multiturn versions and supports measuring ranges up to 65,536 revolutions (16 bits). Thanks to its mechatronic multiturn system, the sensor is maintenance-free and requires no battery.
Flexible Interfaces and Easy Integration
Communication options include CANopen (DS406) and SAE J1939. Connection is possible via M12 connectors or open cable ends. A two-color LED status indicator simplifies commissioning and servicing.
