The history of ROTER ITALIA started in 1972, when the Forigo brothers designed and built the first power harrow in the small factory in Salizzole near Verona – Italy. Some years later they moved to a much wider area in Ostiglia near Mantova – Italy, where the current headquarter is located. Precisely ROTER ITALIA got his name from the power harrow: - “Roter” because of the rotating tines which till the soil - “Italia” identifies the origin of the manufactured goods.

The whole range of Roter Italia products is marked and distributed under the brand FORIGO and is divided into two main product lines for the professional soil preparation:

- the historical line for agriculture machines is made up of power harrows, rotary tillers, universal shredders, and straw choppers for crop residues;

- the innovative line includes horticultural machines, special machines for gardening and special crops i.e., stone buriers, bed formers, sterilizers for the distribution of solid or liquid fumigating products.

This range of machines was born in the early 90s, with the parallel development of the horticultural sector and an ever-increasing search for greater performance and eye for the detail. ROTER ITALIA has strengthened its identity and production by developing their machines in collaboration with universities and final users, providing unique “tailor-made” solutions to satisfy their needs. Cutting edge technologies and continuous investments in research and development raises FORIGO a brand leader of innovation in the manufacturing of machineries and solutions for soil preparation.

The most recent approach towards a reduction of pesticides in both agriculture and horticulture has led the company to develop the Modula project, an innovative seeding machine which sows many types of crops through mulching films.

Nowadays, Roter Italia is a young and dynamic company still led and managed by Forigo brothers and by the new family generation, with over 85% export turnover in international markets.

Die Firma Roter Italia beginnt die Geschäftstätigkeit im Jahr 1972, wenn die Gebrüder Forigo die erste Kreiselegge in der kleinen Werkstatt von Salizzole (VR) hergestellt haben. Einige Jahren, später wurde die Hauptsitzt nach Ostiglia (MN) auf eine breitere Produktionsfläche umgezogen.

Der Name Roter leitet sich aus der rotierenden Bewegung der Kreiseleggenzinken ab, das erste Produkt unseres Portfolios: die Kreiselegge. Italia zeigt den Standort unseres Werkes und der Produktion. Roter Italia Srl (Roter Italia Gmbh) vertreibt die Marke FORIGO, die auch der Familienname unseres Firmengründers ist.

- Sondermaschinen für Gemüsebau, Gartenbau und Sonderkulturen: Umkehrfräsen, Beettfräsen, Dammfräsen, Krautschläger, Dammformer, Beetkreiseleggen, Cruste-Brecher, Folienleger, Entseuchungsmaschine, Bodenhaltungsfräse.

In der ’90 Jahren startet die Produktion von Sondermaschinen in enger Abstimmung mit dem Endkunden und wird nach seinen Angaben und individuellen Wünschen durchgeführt.
