DFKI Lower Saxony – Coppenrath Innovation Centre (CIC) Osnabrück
The German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) is one of the world's leading centres of excellence for AI research. At the Osnabrück site, the Cooperative and Autonomous Systems (CAS) division, headed by Prof. Dr. Martin Atzmüller, conducts research into intelligent, explainable AI systems. The focus is on the interpretation of complex data, machine learning with semantic knowledge, and the development of robust, integrative AI solutions – for example, for the plan-based control of robots in dynamic environments. There is a particular focus on explainable AI (XAI) in order to make systems more transparent and comprehensible.
